The Family Trauma Center UK (FTCUK)
goal is to save and restablish the lives of our clients and their families.
We will enable them to make life changing decsions and actions with the help of our all compassing service that will be evidenced and clinically based using the latest proven techinics.
We shall not be limited by diagnosis, social or cultural back grounds .
We are a social enterprise ethically based on a non-judgemental service with full inclusion and joint partnership working at its core.
FTCUK will focus on the morbidity and mortality of those who suffer from [sychological aspects of Trauma and the co-morbisity conditions , including Substance and alchohol misuse.
The Family Trauma Centre UK is based on the idea that Trauma when it strikes a family member will affect the whole family and not just the individual.
Therefore we as a society have to change the whole idea of how we help an individual by looking at how an individuals trauma related problems affect all members of the family associated with them. This is a very controversial approach but one which needs to happen to effectively help the whole family recover.
Having had 42 years experience of living with P.T.S.D and seeing what it did to my family. I have recently written and published a book that highlights the problems experienced when a family member is traumatized.
I have available a series of one day courses designed to give both health professionals and also family members, the tools to deal successfully with the problems that P.T.S.D and related high anxiety disorders that can cause a family to experience trauma.
